Focus and a long overdue update

Welcome back!

One thing that most people find hard to do, especially it seems, online is focus on one thing.

I'm no different, are you?

I knew it had been a while since I had written anything here, just didn't realise quite how long!

So what have I been up to and have I earn't any money doing it?

Blogging
First of all I am still following the Blog Mastermind course, albeit loosely.  Now that is not me being slack, just that I have decided I want to enjoy the blog I have created as it is about one of my passions, motorcycling, and not feel under pressure to write or do things with it. From accountants to car mechanics to painters and decorators the world over most do not want anything to do with their JOB in their spare time, so turn that around I do not want my passion to become a job.If you're interested you can see my blog at motorbikin.com.

When I first started it I wrote something for it every single day and this certainly helped to get it higher up in the search engines. I even set it up to write a post a day on autopilot whilst I was on holiday! Now, having established that foundation, I write less often, more when the mood takes me and I feel moved to write something. I also started to Twitter what I was up to and this has brought more traffic.

I have been learning how to create videos for my blog using Animoto, which is a free and paid for service, for creating videos from photographs.  I think that's rather neat and whilst they are not always good video quality it does provide a good way to get into video and there is a facility to upload your videos to youtube and increase your traffic that way.

The eagle-eyed amongst you may notice that there are not many opportunites on that blog for making money.  Whilst this hasn't been totally deliberate on my part I prefer at this stage to concentrate on content.  Having said that I have made some small change from Google Adsense and this is growing all the while along with my traffic.

OK so I am a long way from passive income with my blog, but hey I'm enjoying the ride (no pun intended), I'm still following the Blog Mastermind course, and I'm getting to write about a subject I'm passionate about.
